A Spoon Full of Sugar, Not this Time

Everyone keeps talking right now about this lady called Ramona Virus.  On TV, on the radio, on the internet, my pawrents talk about it on the phone with almost everybody, she is everywhere.   I have not met Ms. Virus but she seems to have traveled all over the place and wherever she goes she seems to bring tough times.

When I first heard of Ramona Virus and how she just suddenly appeared in all these difference places, it made me think of Mary Poppins.  I could just picture her coming down from the sky on her colorful umbrella and spreading joy and cheer to everyone that she encountered.

But that’s totally not what this Ramona Virus is.  Ms. Virus does not spread happiness like Mary Poppins at all. Instead she spreads sickness and sadness and stress and even death.  Especially it seems to some of the most wonderful people in the world, our grandparents.  I have two grandmas, Grandma Joan and Grandma Kay and one Grandpa Tom.  I love them all dearly and don’t want them to get sick or die.

In order to ensure my grandparents’ safety from Ramona Virus, mom and dad have instructed them all to stay at home all the time whenever possible.  Now I don’t know if your grandparents are like mine but they don’t sound too thrilled about being told what to do by their children.  But mom says it’s for their own good so I guess it is ok this time.  And I say if it keeps Ms. Virus away from my grandparents, then it’s worth it!

This Ramona Virus is just not a nice lady and I am ready for her to go back up in the sky now.  So I was thinking maybe if all us dogs in the world banded together, we could run her out of our lives completely right now before she makes more of our loved ones sick.

If she’s already in your neighborhood, we can bark at her continuously and do zoomies around her feet.  Just don’t get too close or she might get you too.  And for those who she hasn’t visited yet, she is going around and will be to your area soon to
so I was thinking we need a Ramona Virus mantra to keep her at bay.

Maybe if we all chant this together over and over for the next week or so, we can make her go away completely:

Please go home Ramona Virus
Float back up to the sky
We’re ready for you to leave now
It’s time to say goodbye

Say it loud and proud.  And repeat as needed for as often as needed.  Get your hoomans and even cats involved too (if you like cats, if not, leave them out).  These mantra things work only when and if everybody participates and believes.

I know I’m not a medical hound but I do believe that saying the Ramona Virus mantra over and over just might help keep Ms. Ramona Virus away from me and my loved ones.  I’m starting my chanting now….

Until next time, keep your snout up and your paws down

STOP in the name of love!
